Biography of Chris Jordon (Principal):
Mr. Jordon has been involved in the electrical sign industry in a number of capacities since 1981;
1981-1993; Key Account Manager with National Signcorp, one of Canada’s largest designers and manufacturers of electrical sign components.
1993-1996; National Accounts Manager for the Sicon Group, a national manufacturer of electrical sign displays.
1996-2006; Founder, President & CEO of Pacific Sign & Design Ltd. a Vancouver based designer and manufacturer of architectural and electric sign displays. In early 2002 the company acquired Knight Signs Ltd. and merged the two companies and proceeded to operate under the Knight Signs brand. Mr. Jordon continued in his position as President & CEO of the newly branded company and guided it to become one of the 5 largest sign companies in Canada in terms of revenues ($11,000,000 per annum).
2007-2008; Director, Business Development for Galaxie Signs. Instrumental in the company redirecting its focus and successfully securing contracts on and completing large scale projects such as the Starlight Casino, Villa Casino, West Edmonton Mall and the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel.
Mr. Jordon, through his years in the industry, managed the sales to a large number of National Accounts and also oversaw the re-branding of a number of these large entities. Boston Pizza International, 7-11 Food Stores, Blockbuster Video, Keg Restaurants and HSBC were a few of the accounts secured and managed by Mr. Jordon during this period.
From 1993 through 1996, Mr. Jordon project managed the complete re-branding, from a signage perspective, of over 450 7-11 Stores across Canada and this project included managing several aspects of remedial construction to the storefronts in addition to the signage components.
Mr. Jordon has also been successful in the securing of long term service contracts for such clients as West Edmonton Mall, Richmond Auto Mall (both multiple sign displays and all dealer lot lighting within the Mall), Keg Restaurants and many more similar commercial entities.
Mr. Jordon’s primary reason for success in the signage industry has been his ability to identify the best fit for each custom project, both in terms of human capital and also in terms of specialized sub-contractors as required.
